Vein treatment FAQs

How does it work?

The Nd:YAG 1064 nm laser delivers light energy that is absorbed by blood in the superficial vessels being treated. This creates heat that closes the targeted vessels. Your body gradually breaks down and absorbs the treated vessels over the following weeks to months, helping them fade.

Is there downtime?

Many clients return to work and most normal activities by the next day. Gentle walking is usually encouraged, but follow your individual instructions about exercise, heat and any compression garments. Avoid tanning and prolonged sun exposure before treatment, and protect treated skin from the sun afterward. Sun protection may be needed for 3–4 weeks after treatment; Clara will provide the instructions for your area.

What will the treatment area look like afterward?

Some people notice little immediate change. Others may see temporary redness, swelling, vein darkening or a light bruised appearance. The laser targets vessels beneath the skin without making incisions. Blistering or crusting can occur, so skin cannot be guaranteed to remain completely unchanged. Contact Clara promptly if you develop blisters, broken skin or worsening discomfort.

How many sessions will I need?

A typical plan at Bare is 2–3 sessions to reach the clinical endpoint, meaning the desired treatment response. The number varies by your vessels and response, and some clients need additional sessions. Veins can take weeks to months to fade.

Are vein treatments included in hair removal plans?

No. Laser vein treatments are paid per session. Hair removal memberships and packages apply only to hair removal.
