Lumenis Splendor X offers Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) wavelengths, including blended delivery. This flexibility supports treatment across Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Your settings and candidacy depend on your hair characteristics, skin, treatment area and history.

What does Fitzpatrick I–VI mean?
The Fitzpatrick scale describes how skin typically responds to sunlight, especially how easily it burns or tans. It ranges from type I, which burns very easily, to type VI, which is deeply pigmented and burns much less readily. It’s one part of your assessment, alongside your skin tone, hair characteristics and recent sun exposure.
Why can Splendor X treat all six skin types?
Splendor X has two laser wavelengths that can be adjusted individually or blended. Alexandrite is suited to lighter skin, while Nd:YAG is absorbed less by pigment in the skin’s surface, making it an important option for darker skin tones. Clara tailors the wavelength balance, energy and cooling to your skin and hair, so clients across Fitzpatrick types I–VI can be considered for safe, effective hair reduction.
Your individual suitability and settings are assessed before treatment. The scale doesn’t tell the whole story, and recent tanning, skin conditions and medications also matter.

Why laser takes a series.
Hair grows in cycles, and not every hair is in the same stage at the same time. Laser treatment is most effective when hair is in its active growth phase, so a series gives us opportunities to treat hairs as they enter that phase.
Hair removal plans typically include eight treatments, spaced around 4–6 weeks apart, most commonly six weeks. Clara adjusts the schedule to your treatment area and progress. Results vary, and some clients choose occasional maintenance treatments.

Can all skin tones be treated?
Splendor X supports laser hair removal across Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Clara assesses each individual's suitability and settings, including recent tanning, skin condition and hair characteristics.
How many sessions will I need?
A typical course is approximately eight sessions, but individual needs and results vary by area, hair, and response.
What's the difference between a package and a membership?
Both provide the same planned treatments. Packages are prepaid; memberships spread payments over a 12-month commitment. Appointments are generally scheduled about six weeks apart, not necessarily monthly.
What is the annual safety screening?
A $50 annual safety screening with our partnering medical team applies at the first appointment. If your course extends beyond 12 months, a renewed screening may be needed.
